Five-Year BS Accounting Degree and MBA toward CPA

Michigan and most other states require 150 hours of university course work to be licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. Junior year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program majors may apply for fourth year dual enrollment in Accountancy and MBA. By adding the MBA to the existing CPA baccalaureate program as a fifth year, students interested in entering the CPA profession will get the appropriate training in accounting, satisfy the 150 minimum credit hours required to practice as a licensed Certified Public Accountant, and earn a career enhancing graduate degree.

Our MBA is intended for individuals who are interested in acquiring the management skills required to meet the competitive challenges facing today's organizations. The MBA is founded on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria for excellence and performance-metric-based management principles. Though relatively new, performance-metric-based management is already a widely adopted, systems-approach to managing and leading organizations.
