Server Policy

Purpose

College of Business Graduate Programs (CBGP) servers are intended for academic use by students enrolled in graduate or undergraduate program supported by graduate programs servers.

Site Content

All material on the CBGP Student Web Server should be in good taste and of professional quality for academic purposes. No page may include libelous, pornographic, commercial, discriminatory, or other objectionable material. Violations of the CBGP Policy above or Ferris State University's Information Technology Policies at http://www.ferris.edu/htmls/tatfsu/policies/ may lose server and access privileges and may be dismissed for the University.

Responsibility

Each individual assigned server space is responsible for creating an external back-up copy of his/her files. The CBGP assumes no responsibility for any lost or missing files from allocated server space. Further, each student is responsible for maintaining his/her own web site.

Server Limits on Usability

  • Students admitted to a CBGP will be allocated server space for academic and personal use related to graduate studies.

  • Graduate student server space will be retained on an on-going basis for as long as a student is enrolled for graduate courses.

  • Students who graduate from a CBGP may retain their server space and accessibility for a maximum of two semesters following graduation.

  • Students who maintain their websites and add value to the CBGP may request to keep their server space for as long as the site is maintained. Sites that give direct value to the CBGP are candidates for long term server space.

  • Graduate students who discontinue graduate studies shall forfeit their server space and server accessibility immediately.

  • All decisions for extended server space are directed by the CBGP steering committee.

Disclaimer

  • Students are solely responsible for all content.

  • CBGP has rights to add, modify, and/or remove this policy at any time.
